In collaboration with Tohoku University, we will produce high-quality gallium oxide, a promising wide bandgap semiconductor, primarily using the OCCC method—not require precious metal crucibles.
Our proprietary “OCCC method” is an innovative crystal growth technology. This groundbreaking approach replaces the typically expensive iridium used in conventional crystal growth with inexpensive materials like copper and water, enabling significant cost reduction while maintaining high quality.

FOX Co., Ltd. was established in April 2024 to overcome the cost challenges and technical barriers in manufacturing gallium oxide (β-Ga2O3) power semiconductors by utilizing innovative technology originating from university research.
Gallium oxide is a core material for realizing next-generation energy-saving and highly efficient power conversion.
Through significant reductions in substrate costs and the establishment of a mass production system, we will accelerate the social implementation of power semiconductors and contribute to realizing a decarbonized society.
By inheriting and developing this technology, we will lead the revitalization of Japan's semiconductor industry and the transition to a carbon-neutral society.
